About Epwell:

Our village lies on the ironstone downs of North Oxfordshire, about six miles to the west of Banbury, close to the county boundary with South Warwickshire and to the northern reach of the Cotswold escarpment.

A brief summary of the history of the village can be read here.

The Parish Meeting will be held in the Village Hall on Wednesday 19th September at 8pm.
The agenda is available via the menu.

Community Led Plan

 Superfast Broadband:

The BT website at www.dslchecker.bt.com now indicates that the fibre connection has been made and superfast broadband is available. Enter your telephone number in this site to see the status for your line.
The ADSL speed shown is what is available for your existing connection and the FTTC speed is the speed available for superfast broadband on your line - this max speed varies depends on the specific condition of your line eg. distance from the cabinet.
If only the ADSL speed is shown and nothing for FTTC, this indicates that your line is one that does not benefit fron the fibre upgrade either because it has a direct connection to the exchange or is too far away from the cabinet. OCC have advised that there are 13 lines affected in this way.
Oxfordshire CC have a website at www.betterbroadbandoxfordshire.org.uk/broadband-providers that gives links to possible suppliers of superfast broadband. There is also a useful FAQ section which should answer any questions you have.
